The Challenge and Practice of Boundless Compassion Series

Tuesday, February 25, 2020 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Description: The Challenge and Practice of Boundless Compassion
A Six Part Lenten Series sponsored by the Servite Boundless Compassion Program.
Sessions will take place at the Servite Center of Compassion on the Tuesdays in Lent from
February 25 – March 31, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Cost $ 80.

The liturgical season of Lent, with its six weeks focused on spiritual renewal, encourages us to take time to look more closely at our daily living. In doing so, we can be invigorated and inspired in both attitude and action. This Lenten series offers an opportunity to find greater meaning and restored enthusiasm to live as our best selves. Using Joyce Rupp’s book Boundless Compassion, we will journey through the key aspects of compassion as a living concept, a practice of loving others and oneself, and a caring engagement with our world and our earth. Sessions will involve input, reflection, and discussion. Each session will be led by the co-directors of Boundless Compassion, along with certified facilitators of this program.

The $80 fee covers all six sessions. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions in order to receive the full benefit of the Lenten series. Completing the six sessions does qualify one to take the training to become a facilitator of the Boundless Compassion Program. We will be using the book, Boundless Compassion, as the required resource. Please purchase it either through the Servite Gift Store at a reduced price or at another place of your choice. Facilitators are: Patty Forsberg, Jeanne Johnson, Anne Kubr, Sr. Val Lewandoski, Sr. Joyce Rupp, and Sr. Margaret Stratman.
