The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Divine Creator in your infinite wisdom you allow all of creation to walk through seasons of light and seasons of darkness.
As we move deeper into the Advent Season, may we appreciate the quite stillness and become aware of how we experience times of light and times of darkness in our own spiritual journeys.
Advent is the season of waiting.
What is it that I long for in the depth of my being?
Where is my sense of God in the light?
Where is my sense of God in the Darkness?
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things came to be through him and without him nothing came to be. What came to be though him was life, and this life was the light of the human race.” “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:1-5)
In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God. The Word was God.
What came to be through him was life and this life was the light of the human race.
Am I open to allow God’s light into my life?
Am I open to allow God’s life into my life?
Am I open to allow God’s light to shine in my darkness?
What do I need from God to experience life in its fullness so I can be a light for others?
